Congratulations to Egypt and the citizins who fought for their beliefs, kept hope and stayed determined to be heard. The people of Egypt has shown the world that youth activism can change anything. 18 days has ended 30 years of oppression. May God be with them all as they transfer to a free democratic society, may that happen soon as possible! History has been made, they reminded us what the power of the people is about! Freedom at last for Egypt!
I am not Egyptian but I spent a summer there in 2002 with my fathers family, they have a summer house in Cairo and a condo in Alexandria and it is one of my favorite countries, so beautiful and so much history. I can’t wait to go back again, especially now that Mubarak has stepped down and is no longer the president! I don’t know how it is where you guys are, but here in NYC there are Egyptians everywhere waving their flags, chanting and honking their cars with pride and joy. I will try to snap pictures!
The world need to salute the Egyptians for such a dignified and peaceful show of people’s power!
