Song & Artist of the week

“It’s amazing how you knock me off my feet. Every time you come around me I get weak. Nobody ever made me feel this way. You kiss my lips and then you take my breath away.”

He’s never really been in a serious relationship because no one has made him care enough for it and that for once he’s taking a relationship seriously.

“Girl he never understood what you were worth and he never took the time to make it work. Baby I’m the type of man to show concern. Anyway that I can please you let me learn.”

He is willing to do anything to make her happy, he knows she isn’t used to being treated well from past ex-boyfriends but he is trying to prove to her that he isn’t like them and to give him a chance as he is willing to learn everything about her to make their bond stronger. It’s also about the beginning stages, where you just want to know more about them and make them happy/happier than they have been and let them know that you aren’t going to be the one to hurt them.

“I wish that I could take a journey through your mind and find emotions that you always try to hide babe, oh. I do believe that there’s a love you wanna share. I’ll take good care of you lady, have no fear.’

My favorite line is “I wish that I could take a journey through your mind and find emotions that you always to hide.” I can relate to it a lot, it’s about how you feel disconnected with someone and no matter how hard you try, they still don’t give you what you give back. I had an abusive psycho ex-boyfriend (I’ll be writing a post about abuse soon) and I remember one time I told him to listen to this song because it’s how I feel about him and he said “Ask me if I give a f*ck”…well, he sure didn’t! Ha!

This song is just one of those classics where it will always make sense to you and relate to or even dedicate to more than once. It’s a beautiful song. What do you guys think?
