Quote of the day

So I came across to great poet Rainer Marie Rilke, here are some of her quotes from poetry and books that I love:

“Perhaps all the dragons in our lives are princesses who are only waiting to see us act, just once, with beauty and courage. Perhaps everything that frightens us is, in its deepest essence, something helpless that wants our love.”

“Be patient toward all that is unsolved in your heart and try to love the questions themselves, like locked rooms and like books that are now written in a very foreign tongue. Do not now seek the answers, which cannot be given you because you would not be able to live them. And the point is, to live everything. Live the questions now. Perhaps you will then gradually, without noticing it, live along some distant day into the answer.”

“Do not assume that he who seeks to comfort you now, lives untroubled among the simple and quiet words that sometimes do you good. His life may also have much sadness and difficulty, that remains far beyond yours. Were it otherwise, he would never have been able to find these words”

“For those who are near you are far away… and this shows that the space around you is beginning to grow vast…. be happy about your growth, in which of course you can’t take anyone with you, and be gentle with those who stay behind; be confident and calm in front of them and don’t torment them with your doubts and don’t frighten them with your faith or joy, which they wouldn’t be able to comprehend. Seek out some simple and true feeling of what you have in common with them, which doesn’t necessarily have to alter when you yourself change again and again; when you see them, love life in a form that is not your own and be indulgent toward those who are growing old, who are afraid of the aloneness that you trust…. and don’t expect any understanding; but believe in a love that is being stored up for you like an inheritance, and have faith that in this love there is a strength and a blessing so large that you can travel as far as you wish without having to step outside it.”

“It seems to me that almost all our sadnesses are moments of tension, which we feel as paralysis because we no longer hear our astonished emotions living. Because we are alone with the unfamiliar presence that has entered us; because everything we trust and are used to is for a moment taken away from us; because we stand in the midst of a transition where we cannot remain standing. That is why the sadness passes: the new presence inside us, the presence that has been added, has entered our heart, has gone into its innermost chamber and is no longer even there, – is already in our bloodstream. And we don’t know what it was. We could easily be made to believe that nothing happened, and yet we have changed, as a house that a guest has entered changes. We can’t say who has come, perhaps we will never know, but many signs indicate that the future enters us in this way in order to be transformed in us, long before it happens. And that is why it is so important to be solitary and attentive when one is sad: because the seemingly uneventful and motionless moment when our future steps into us is so much closer to life than that other loud and accidental point of time when it happens to us as if from outside. The quieter we are, the more patient and open we are in our sadnesses, the more deeply and serenely the new presence can enter us, and the more we can make it our own, the more it becomes our fate.”

“Why do you want to shut out of your life any uneasiness, any misery, any depression, since after all you don’t know what work these conditions are doing inside you? Why do you want to persecute yourself with the question of where all this is coming from and where it is going? Since you know, after all, that you are in the midst of transitions and you wished for nothing so much as to change. If there is anything unhealthy in your reactions, just bear in mind that sickness is the means by which an organism frees itself from what is alien; so one must simply help it to be sick, to have its whole sickness and to break out with it, since that is the way it gets better.”

“Don’t be too quick to draw conclusions from what happens to you; simply let it happen. Otherwise it will be too easy for you to look with blame… at your past, which naturally has a share with everything that now meets you.”

”The only sadnesses that are dangerous and unhealthy are the ones that we carry around in public in order to drown them out with the noise; like diseases that are treated superficially and foolishly, they just withdraw and after a short interval break out again all the more terribly; and gather inside us and are life, are life that is unlived, rejected, lost, life that we can die of.”
“It is always what I have already said: always the wish that you may find patience enough in yourself to endure, and simplicity enough to believe; that you may acquire more and more confidence in that which is difficult, and in your solitude among others. And for the rest, let life happen to you. Believe me: life is right, in any case.”

One of the fakest personalities and celeb in Hollyweird Kim Kardashian is looking faker than ever. The heck happened to her face?? It gets worse every year. She is her own worst enemy, and was naturally pretty but it’s obvious her insecurities getting the best of her and is bey0nd caught up in Hollywood and has lost sense of reality. This woman literally has sold her soul to the devil, she is a puppest and her momager is pulling her strings. She isn’t even pretty anymore, she is just way too over exposed, she is 31 years old and it’s just time to grow up and go away already. There is so much I can say about her and the recent headlines but I am not even going to bother at this point, she is exhausting and annoying.

I am doing a before and after post, it’s been requested by many of my f0llowers since they liked the Megan Fox and Aubrey O’day posts. That will be up soon. In the mean time, what do you guys think of her face?

Fashion Hit & Miss: People’s Choice Awards 2012

LEA MICHELE<br />
photo | Lea Michele” /> Lea Michelle wore a tasseled off the shoulder <a class=Marchesa and Jimmy Choo sandals. I like the dress, I like the light make up and the white dress with bubble gum pink lips but I don’t like the shoes with it and I don’t the hair styled straight on the side. I would have done a low wavy bun with side bangs and open toe silver pumps.

MILEY CYRUS photo | Miley Cyrus Miley Cyrus looks grown and mature in this white frock with a plunging illusion complete with Technicolor reflective patterns. I think she looks great, the pointy heels are in right now I am not a fan but in some outfits they look great with. I love the style of the dress but I don’t like the multicolored reflective patterns on the side, it would have been nicer without but regardless she looks great.

KALEY CUOCO photo | Kaley Cuoco Kaley Cuoco wore this BEAUTIFUL beaded blush confection featuring tiered ruffles, a mesh overlay and intricate belt. I can’t tell who the designer is but this dress is just stunning. I love the hair in a high ballerina clean bun, I love the white drop earrings and just everything about this. This dress belongs on the red carpet the Oscars! Lovee, love, love it!

Song of the day

As the world knows Beyonce and Jay Z welcomed a baby girl to this world and they released the following statement:

“Hello Hello Baby Blue!

We are happy to announce the arrival of our beautiful daughter, Blue Ivy Carter, born on Saturday, January 7, 2012.Her birth was emotional and extremely peaceful, we are in heaven. She was delivered naturally at a healthy 7 lbs and it was the best experience of both of our lives. We are thankful to everyone for all your prayers, well wishes, love and support.”

Proud father Jay Z was overwhelmed with emotions who free-styled how he felt about his baby girl, recorded and released the song. The words are so beautiful and genuine and embodies all of the emotions that the Carters were experiencing with their first born. Baby Blue makes her musical debut when we get to hear her first cries at the end of the track. Baby Blue has already made history by being the youngest person ever to hit the Billboard charts! Fun fact, minutes after her birth Empire State Building was lit up in blue all night in honor of Jay and Bey‘s baby girl.

The song is just so sweet and made me tear up. I personally don’t like the name, it ain’t my billionaire lucky baby but I would have reversed it to Ivy Blue. Blue is the fourth color on the wheel and Jay’z favorite color and he has the Blueprint albums, Ivy stands for IV the numeral number 4 that is special to the Carters,  her last album was titled 4, they started dating August 4th, Bey’s birthday is on Sept 4th, Jay’s birthday is on Dec 4th, Bey’s mom birthday is on January 4th, their wedding anniversy is on April 4th and they each have a tattoo on their ring fingers with IV and that is only what the public knows! I am sure there’s more to it, so the meaning behind it is sweet.

It also seems like her name was going to be named Glory, his mother’s name is Gloria. No one knew Beyonce had suffered a miscarriage but it has been widely reported that they have had trouble conceiving and the song proves just that and as he says he prayed it wouldn’t happen to them twice and go through the heartbreak again. Also, prior to Jay & B’s relationship, Jay-Z’s ex-girlfriend was pregnant, but birthed a stillborn, which he spoke about in “This Can’t Be Life”.

When he talks about praying to God it’s implied Jay used to pray for material goods, but now he realizes that there are more important things to pray for, such as the safety of his daughter. God is a being who makes no mistakes, so in giving Jay this baby, he didn’t make a mistake, although Jay-Z self-admittedly has made mistakes in his past.

Glory ft. B.I.C

“The most amazing feeling I feel
Words can’t describe the feeling for real
Baby I paint the sky blue
My greatest creation was you, you
Glory

False alarms and false starts
All made better by the sound of your heart
All the pain of the last time
I prayed so hard it was the last time
Your mamma said that you danced for her
Did you wiggle your hands for her?
Glory, Glory, Glory, Sorry
Everything that I prayed for
God’s gift, I wish I would’ve prayed more
God makes no mistakes, I made a few
Rough sledding here and there, but I made it through
I wreak havoc on the world, get ready for part 2
A younger, smarter, faster me
So a pinch of Hov, a whole glass of Béy

Glory
The most amazing feeling I feel
Words can’t describe what I’m feeling for real
Baby I paint the sky blue
My greatest creation was you

Your grand pop died, a nigga fell yeh
Then he died of liver failure
Deep down he was a good man
God damn, I can’t deliver failure
Bad ass Lil Hov
2 years old, shopping on Savile Row
Wicked ass lil B
Hard not to spoil you rotten looking like little me
The most beautifulest thing in this world
Daddy’s little girl
You don’t yet know what swag is
But you was made in Paris
And mama woke up the next day and shot her album package
Last time the miscarriage was so tragic
We was afraid you disappeared
But nah, baby you magic (voilà)
So there you have it, shit happens
Make sure the plane you on is bigger than your carry on baggage
Everybody goes through stuff
Life is a gift love, open it up
You’re a child of destiny
You’re the child of my destiny
You’re my child with the child from Destiny’s Child
That’s a hell of a recipe
Glory, Glory, Glory, Sorry

- He also wrote a poem for his daughter and swearing to never use the Bitch word.

“Before I got in the game, made a change, and got rich, I didn’t think hard about using the word bitch. I rapped, I flipped it, I sold it, I lived it now with my daughter in this world I curse those that give it.

I never realized while on the fast track that I’d give riddance to the word bitch, to leave her innocence in tact. No man will degrade her, or call her name. I’m so focused on your future, the degradation has passed. I wish you wealth, health and insight. Forever young you may pass. Blue Ivy Carter, my angel.”

CJ HILTON Cold Summer.

Beauty Routine

“I am very low maintenance. I think I am lucky when I get to wash my face at night. I occasionally get facials by a miracle worker in Los Angeles named Mirta. However, apparently getting facials is not the way to erase months of carelessness and angry pores. Sleep is vital, happiness is key so I feel the most beautiful with those two elements combined.”

I know that happiness is a temporary state of mind, success means for me constantly growing, evolving to find that place.”

How do you feel about being recognise for your great sense of style?

“I feel completely flattered and also very humbled.”

Your wish list for the season?

“I am still on last season wish list! I still need to dive into some of the insane sales of things I drooled over but could not fix myself to buy new things when I have a new house to furnish. There is a pink and orange wool jacket from Bottega Veneta that I am lusting over. A yellow Proenza Skirt I have been trying to get my hands on forever. I am definitely into waiting until I can truly afford the statement pieces I love, that I will wear forever! I  still have couture dresses that came out 4 years ago, that have not worn yet. I am definitely not in a rush to wear things because they are the new new. I guess when I will decide to wear those pieces people will be calling them vintage (Laughs).”

What is your opinion about the black representation in the fashion industry?

“I think it is evolving, and that is a beautiful thing! Now when I flip trough magazines I can see just as many beautiful black models in major campaigns as any other race. Unique, striking, beautiful women. I felt so extremely blessed to be Rimmel’s first black spokesperson, and to be embraced fully for being exactly who I am. And standing next to Kate Moss, with my Afro bigger than days light. I don’t by any means consider myself the most qualified for model material. I think that people tend to respond to what is real. Black women carry that flame with so much ease and confidence. It is being captured and celebrated on all fronts in fashion now. I have friends who are doing greats things, that movement is very real and well deserved!”

5 things you can´t live without?

Water, food, plants, sun and sex.

Projects?

“My blood, sweat, tears and long awaited album, which is being mixed as we speak.”

Obsession: House of Harlow Sunglasses!

As much as I love shopping and obsessed with fashion I’ve become frugal and smart with my purchases. I don’t indulge and shop to just shop and buy just whatever is in now like I used to. I now get things I really need, really love and want and try to look for something versatile that I can wear it many times in different ways. I am not impulsive anymore and as you get older you learn not to be and just be smart with your money. Especially when I see folded clothes in my closets that never have been worn because it isn’t in anymore or I just bought out of bordem! So, girls when you shop before you splurge think about the item in the long run, sounds silly but it’s smart, think about if you are going to wear it more than once and how long they will last you. And if you are on a budget, trust me anything you would want that is pricey can be found elsewhere for a price that is decent and affordable for you! H&M, Forever 21 and department stores  in the sale section are the best to shop with a budget and remember to give it a few weeks and you will end up finding it in the sale section! So many times I would be tempted to buy stuff that is expensive and I would go back a few days, few weeks or even few months later I find them for more than half off!! And listen, if you come across items like sunglasses, handbags, jackets and shoes that are costly but you really want like what happened with me with these sunnies, allow yourself to splurge every once in a while and again remember to buy for now, buy for now and later and if you are going to spend money make sure the quality is good!

So, I recently went shopping and came across these sunglasses that I was dying over! They looked amazing on and within seconds I was getting so compliments that they look good on my shape of face. I was unsure if I wanted to spend that much on just a pair of sunglasses but I just couldn’t leave without them. They were House of Harlow 1960 by Nicole Richie, who is my absolute favorite, her style is so effortless and so chic and I love her accessory collection so I am glad I got something from her line.

They are called Chelsea Cat Eye glasses and I can’t even tell you how many compliments I got from it and they look great with everything! They are just perfection! These larger than life sunglsses have the perfect amount of that classic 1950s cat eye style but the bold frames and jet black color keep them current. They are $135.00 and sold at Neiman Marcus and Nordstom and at select boutiques.

Fashionista‘s are loving these sunnies!
