On the road again!

I’ll be on the road again! The past few months I’ve traveled more than usual. Normally I just travel two or three times a year. I have always loved to travel, who doesn’t?! I wouldn’t mind having a job that would allow me to travel often. (geez, how many times did I say travel!)

Today I’ll be going to California again for a few days. It was a random booking, wasn’t too expensive so I figured why not!. I’ll get to catch up with family since I last saw them in August and enjoy the beautiful weather for a few days before I come back to working 9-5 and going to night school from 7-10pm! I am dreading it but keeping busy makes the days and months go by so fast.

Oh! As promised I will include pictures of my Nevis, St. Kitts vacation soon! I’ll tell you all about the amazing hotel, wonderful experience I had and the story on how I got thrown off the horse!

Do you guys love to travel? If so, what was/is your favorite vacation destination? Where’s your favorite place you never get sick of visiting? Mine is Miami, I can never get tired of going there and I won’t be satisfied till I move there already!

I won’t be bringing my net book with me like I normally do when I travel. I need a break from it anyway so I’ll catch up with you guys when I come back next week. Don’t miss me too much :)

Thought of the day

You’re the only one I turn to. When the world gets too heavy on my shoulders, you’re always there. To guide me when I’m wrong, support me when I’m right. You’re the only one that h…ears me out, and understands. Doesn’t pretend to care or listen and most importantly you don’t judge or tell me how I should feel. You show me you care, in ways I’ve never had or felt. When I’m sinking in, you don’t shut me out. You’re the only one that pulls me back. You’re the only one who knows how I feel, you’re the only one that ever asks. No matter the distance, you’re the closest too me and I’d be in a different darker place with out you.

Look of the week

Halle Berry looks berry beautiful in a crimson lace Ellie Saab gown. It fits her perfectly and it’s the best look I’ve seen her in a while. Lately I haven’t been a fan of anything she has had on in events and red carpets so this was very nice to see her in. I love the color, the draping and the lace detailing.

Like I’ve mentioned before, I don’t like her at all. I don’t like short hair at all on women. I would have chosen a different pair of earrings something a little bigger and a light color, especially since her hair is short, the earrings would have been a nice touch.

This would have been a hit if worn on the red carpet for the Oscars this sunday.

Artist & Song of the week

Since I saw her this Tuesday at MSG I chose Lady GaGa for the artist and song of the week. I am obsessing over Born This Way! Everything about this song, the way she sings, the melody, the chorus, the beats, the meaning..it’s an amazing song. This song sounds too good to be true and it’s one of those that will play for many many years and touch people in many ways. It’s definatly a classic, already! Ahh!! I loveeeeeeee it!!

Styled by Damita

This look is edgy sexy cool. I love the boots paired with the cargo pants. It was the first items I paired and I had a hard time picking out a top that will go with it but nothing that I was putting together was coming out right. So I went with a basic tank top and a jeans a jacket. I think the jeans jacket completes the look. You can spend the whole day out with this outfit, it’s comfortable and stylish.

Love & Hip Hop

Above is your first look at VH1’s upcoming docu-series Love & Hip Hop, which premieres Monday, March 14 at 10:30. Above, you’ll see the cast including Swizz Beatz ex Mashonda, Jim Jones‘ girlfriend Chrissy Lampkin, Fabolous‘ girl Emily Bustamante, the former first lady of G-Unit Olivia, and Somaya “Boss” Reece.

You know I’ll be tuning in! These days it seems like a woman gets a career in reality TV, fame and fortune for getting an early retirement plan by marrying, dating or having a baby by an athlete or a rapper.

My favorite is Emily, rapper Fabolous long time girlfriend of 8 years and baby mama of their 3 year old son. I follow her on Twitter and have spoken to her a few times. She’s very sweet, doesn’t talk about him or use his name to get ahead and further her career in styling. (she is also his stylist) Someone has asked her if it bothers her that he stopped following her and she replied with “i actually blocked him, haha”. Her story is something many women can relate to, do you let go of the man you love that you have a family with because of his cheating and can’t seem to change his playboy ways or do you just let go of him and the family you always dreamed of and wanted for your children. We’ll see how it plays out and more of her and her relationship with the rapper. Check out my previous post about them, that received many hits “The woman behind Fabolous”

VH1 Scores with Carmelo Anthony

The 10-episode serious will chronicle the basketball star’s move to NYC with his wife to join the Knicks.

On the heels of his headline-making trade to the New York Knicks, VH1 announced a green light for sequel to its Carmelo Anthony/La La Vazquez docusoap. The 10-episode series will chronicle Anthony and his wife Vazquez’s move from Denver (where Anthony was a star Nuggets forward) to Manhattan.

La La’s Full Court (which is still a working title) began shooting last month and is targeted to bow in August. The couple’s first VH1 show, La La’s Full Court Wedding, aired last fall to huge ratings. The docu-series, which began filming  in January, will continue where LaLa’s wedding left off with she and Carmelo preparing for a sudden move to New York City.

So what can we expect from the bubbly tv personality this go round?  Viewers will see LaLa adjusting to her new life as a wife, dealing with parenting issues and juggling her busy acting and television hosting career.  And VH1 confirms there will be appearances by LaLa’s famous friends, including 50 Cent , Kelly Rowland , Trina, Serena Williams and Ciara .

When asked about the show, Jeff Olde, EVP of Original Programming and Production at VH1 said,

“Viewers connect with La La because despite the fairy tale wedding and NBA star husband, she is a real, down to Earth, hardworking woman who stays true to herself.  The best thing about the new series is that while pursuing and realizing her dreams, La La gets to take us back to her home in New York, where her story began.”

And to get viewers excited about the new series, LaLa will be participating in a live chat with VH1 on Twitter during the 7pm and 11pm encore broadcasts of “LaLa’s Full Court Wedding” on Sunday, February 27.  Viewers can join by following @LaLa and @VH1, and via the hashtag #FullCourtWedding.

I loved the show about their wedding. It was done tastefully and it was a docuserious instead of fake reality TV. This actually sounds like a good idea to document. I know fans will be tuning in to see what goes through the star’s mind once he gets traded to another city and to see how his wife juggles all the stress that comes with the moving. I’ll defiantly be tuning in. Are you? This sure is the Anthony’s year, they had a huge wedding with a successful tv show documenting the planning of it, her new job offers, their new house in LA, the trade that has them back in their home towns where both their families still live and are 65 million dollars richer. You go La! I like them as a couple and they represent two hard working adults without all the drama and scandals and truly show the meaning of “Behind every great man, there’s a great woman”

By the way, check out this nice commercial for Carmelo Anthony:

Decor

As my readers know I love interior design and looking at homes. I’ve done a few posts about it. Just like clothes I love putting pieces together and seeing what I had envisioned come to life. Just like I have my wedding planned out, I already know what my house is going to look like. Can you tell I like to plan ahead? I don’t like huge mansions, it’s not cozy and it doesn’t feel like a home to me.What I like about Real Housewives of Beverly Hills Lisa Vanderpump’s house is that even though it’s a mansion, she managed to make it a comfortable home.

I love her house but there are certain things I would change. I love the white decor it is such a calming color in a house it also has a South Beach vibe.

I mean…how unreal? Can you imagine calling this home?

The entrance is beautiful. I love a waterfall in front of a house. I don’t like the cars parked there, it should be on the side somewhere.

The decor could be a bit better however I do love the vibe of this room. It’s very cozy and I am loving the couches and pillows.

The best place to have a dinner party! I love it!

I mean….do I even need to comment about this? This is only her shoe and bag closet. The Hermes, Chanels, Louboutins…I can live and die in this space! Every fashionista’s dream. I like that she doesn’t have too much of everything, some rich folks just buy all these expensive things just to have them and they never wear them.

Love! The pink flowers, the white chairs and the white curtains..I am loving it. This is a perfect place to wake up too, drink coffee or read a book. It’s very serene, feminine but not too girly.

Check out her website, seems like she loves her house a bit too much. She has pictures and a tour of her home : http://www.lisavanderpump.com/real-estate/

And real estate homes in California, I can spend hours browsing the pictures of the homes.

Lady GaGa in MSG

Tonight I’ll be at Madison Square Garden for Lady GaGa! I am not really a big fan of hers, type her name in at the search section to see previous posts I’ve written about her. She only has a select few of good songs but I give credit when credit is due, she is a real artist, writes her own music and isn’t a celebrity who loves the spotlight. She seems to remain humble and genuinely appreciates her fans that she calls ‘monsters’.  I just don’t think her choice of clothing style is “artistic” and should be in the fashion category, like most of the fashion world seems to think. My favorite song of hers so far is Born This Way.  She is this generations Madonna. I see her being around for many many years.

“I actually made a choice to keep my life pretty normal. Some point about two years ago I said to myself, ‘OK, am I going to put my toe in Hollywood’s pond and figure out if I want to live a glamorous life and assimilate to the glamorous lifestyle,’ but I really didn’t want to do it. I still live where I always lived, I still hang out and drink whisky at the same bars. I still go to the same hardware store.” Gaga has said, birth name Stefani Germanotta.

I am excited for tonight. I have been to so many concerts and have seen the best in music for the past 10 years and I am sure tonight will be one to remember. I’ll let you know how it goes!

UPDATE:

Via MTV.com

Feb 22 NEW YORK — “Tonight, in the town where the gays birthed me, you can be free!” Lady Gaga announced at her Monster Ball show Tuesday night at Madison Square Garden.

On this second night in her hometown, Lady Gaga was being filmed by HBO for her concert special that will air in early May. And though it wasn’t her first time playing MSG, she still felt the significance of headlining the venue. “I used to live 20 blocks from here, so I saw all those names go up on the marquis, and I always wanted to see my name up in those lights.

“You made me brave, little monsters,” she informed her squealing fans of all ages, “and New York made me brave.”

Liza Minnelli and Marisa Tomei were both in the audience, and Gaga asked for her monsters to cheer on the two women, who she said greatly influenced her.

“I don’t lip-synch,” Gaga reminded the audience who was already quite aware of that impressive fact, considering all of the heavy dancing mixed with extended high notes. “I’m not going to waste your time watching some bitch lip-synch her way to an HBO special, especially not with Liza watching.” Gaga recently said in an interview that she would want Marisa Tomei, above anyone else, to play her in a movie.

While performing all of her hits from The Fame and The Fame Monster, Gaga took plenty of time to speak to the crowd directly, and her witty banter had the room laughing every moment they weren’t cheering their lungs out.

Someone in the audience held up a bright purple unicorn stuffed animal, and Gaga caught sight of it when flashing her disco stick flashlight around the crowd. “That is the most fabulous gay unicorn I have ever seen,” she remarked, as straight-faced as ever. “The only thing better than a unicorn is a gay unicorn.”

The evening flowed seamlessly from the moment Gaga took the stage with her dark pop tune, “Dance in the Dark,” disguising her dozen or so costume changes with dazzling art videos. The videos often depicted Gaga in a pose or in extreme slow motion, creating the sense of a moving portrait, surrounded by driving club dance beats. Some of the images included tears of blood, neon-green vomit, gothic clothing and bondage attire. The show itself could be an installment at a high-end gallery.

Gaga’s incessant devotion to LGBT rights was in full effect during her two hours on stage. She called a fan in the audience, Jimmy DiPasquale, who had made a generous donation to her LGBT youth fund, to thank him personally. At the end of “Alejandro,” while the beat continued to thump, two of her male backup dancers took the stage and made out passionately as the curtain came down.

As Gaga drove the night toward her two encores of “Bad Romance” and new single “Born This Way,” she looked on the verge of tears and announced, “This is the last of five sold-out shows here, but I hope this song and this record bring us back here next year.”

- I loved it! She made me a fan of hers last night. I loved her songs a lot of them I never heard that I will be downloading later. The way she captivated the audience and talked about her growing up in the New York, at one point she said “In this town, I can’t believe I made it.”. I loved everything about it, she sang live and her voice was AHHHHMAZZZZING!!!!!! I can’t say enough about it.  She is an iconic entertainer and out of all the concerts I have been too and watching the greatest performers of my generation from Jay Z, Beyonce, Kanye, Alicia Keys and so many more.  Beyonce’s I Am..World Tour has been my all time favorite and now the Monster Ball will be to.  I have a feeling there is something about Lady Gaga’s concert that I will remember forever.

“You know what I hate more than money? I hate the truth. I’d prefer a dose of bull shit any day over the truth.” – GaGa

Picture of the Day

Continuing on with the theme of basketball:

You all know how much I love Kobe and the Bryant family. I think his wife Vanessa is very beautiful and I love how low-key she is, unlike other Basketball wives she isn’t after the fame and using her husbands powerful last name to have a spotlight on her. She plays the role of wife of a star athlete perfectly. Kobe isn’t seen outside of the court or at the few basketball related events he attends. When he is spotted he is only out with his family. When I went to California in the summer I was surprised to find out that Kobe lives in Orange County, away from Los Angles. He is always spotted at the local mall Fashion Island and at Disney Land in Anaheim.

Anyone can see how much Kobe loves and lives for his family. His love for his girls Natalia and Gianna is evident and the love they have for him is apparent as well. I adore when I see him and his little girls. Photographers always manage to snap precious and beautiful moments of them. The pictures above is of this weekend and how adorable is it?!

Here are just a few out of many great pictures of him and his girls, you can Google Kobe and his daughter. It’s so nice to see a father and his daughter together, I just think it’s amazing to see a man be a dad and be there for his children, especially when it comes to daughters. It melts my heart, something I never had, love to see and wish I will have for my future daughter and husband.

I kind of went a little bit over board with the pictures! It should be pictures of the month! There was more but I had to stop at one point!
